Compliance Manager

Duties / Responsibilites

  • Onboard new transportation service providers
  • Oversee existing transportation service providers
  • Examine and save all required carrier compliance documentation in operating system
  • Apply applicable transportation service provider information into operating system
  • Routinely audit transportation service providers for changes in safety information, licensure, insurance, and other relevant information
  • Approve, reject, or limit transportation service providers based on analysis of documentation, internal policies, and other industry information – notify appropriate parties of decision when applicable
  • Escalate issues to management when unsure how to proceed
  • Ensure continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service both internally and externally
  • Maintain an operational awareness of the rules, regulations and laws that govern transportation throughout the United States
  • Oversee claims and OS&D notifications
  • Communicate with insurance providers, carriers and customers to process claims

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of the DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Work with little or no supervision, and work well in a team setting
  • Excellent communication, time management, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of efficient procedures and best practices
