FEMA contacted us with their requirements at 18:00. They advised that they needed all 59 teams loaded and ready to deploy from California by 08:00 the following day.
We immediately got on the phone to call carriers from our extensive North American network to help us fulfill this mission. By 22:30, we had all 59 teams arriving at FEMA’s California location, giving the agency ample time to load and ship the emergency goods.
KCH also handled the sizable backend administrative work for this project, including tracking and tracing each team and trailer, and ensuring that everyone was held to a schedule.
The service professionals who worked together seamlessly under our Mobile Trailer Maintenance Program successfully completed repairs on over 75 trailers, after which they were approved to return to service. Our fast response allowed FEMA to continue delivering emergency supplies on schedule.
“We understood how critical this project was and poured everything we had into helping FEMA fulfill its mission on the Gulf Coast. KCH is proud to continue partnering with FEMA to help others in need across America.” – Jason Whitten, President, KCH Transportation.
